NETWORK TECHNICIAN / SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Functions and Duties

• Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors.
• Provide technical assistance and support.
• Individual assessments of computer systems to identify the problem(s).
• Physical set up of computers, software system installation and peripheral equipment for various computer applications and programs.
• Monitor computers to ensure that systems are functioning properly.
• Identify and solve any problems that affect computer operating systems.
• Maintain and upgrade computer systems and/or offer recommendations on necessary upgrades.
• Configure and maintain networking devices.
• Train clients on how to use computer hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot routine problems and maintenance of servers.
• Maintain computer peripheral devices (such as printers) and solve printing problems (if they arise).

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree with a technical major (such as management information systems, engineering or computer science).
• Possess one or more of: MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CCNA.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Prior consulting experience preferred.
• Must be able to qualify for a credit card.
• All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must have your own vehicle.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
